October 6th, the club again did a fund raiser food booth at the Atchison Oktoberfest. A better profit was made then trying to have a fund raiser Dinner.

On October 20th, Robert Frisbee and Mary Simpson our Vice Presidents were married at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:00pm. The club had a nice Cake table for them at the dance that evening. Congratulations to them.

2008

Our club was asked if we could do a refreshment booth at the Caller's Festival this year on Saturday February 2nd. It was held at Croco Hall and there are not to many eating places close. We had a great time doing this and made a good profit for the club. Also this year we will host the refreshment booth at the Tenderfood Dance in March. This is the third year we have done that one.

2010

We again did the refreshments for the Caller's Festival In February and Tenderfoot Dance in March. This is used as our Fund Raisers.

2011

Again this year we had our fund raisers at the Caller's Festival in February and the Tenderfoot Dance in March. Looks like everyone enjoys are pie and sandwiches. Also this year Glenn Steele is President again along with Robert & Mary Frisbee as Vice President and Patti Steele stayed as Secretary/Treasurer. Anyone wanting to dance or learn to dance needs to contact Patti Steele at 816.364.6683 or Nancy Shannon at 913.367.6319. As in the past we have adopted a family or people in the nursing home who have no one.

This year we just adopted the nursing home people. It was nice to hear that some of them could not believe that someone remembered them as they usually have no one who cares. Their wants are so small that we were able to get all of them everything that was on their list thanks to the generosity of our members.

2012

We have had a great year for new students. This year we have had 2 sets of lessons with many young people taking lessons on the second set. Elections of officers was held in March and our new Presidents for 2012/2013 will be Joe & Judy Tarwater, the Vice President is Rhonda Tomlinson and the Secretary/Treasurer is Patti Steele. Again our club had the refreshments for the Callers Festival and the Tenderfoot Dance. We again had a good turn out of members to work and a wonderful amount of pie and good food. Each event was a success for our Club. Last Christmas we adopted 7 people at the nursing home who had no one. Some were the same as last year and some were new ones. We make a big difference in these peoples lives as they know that someone remembers them. Again our members were generous and we were able to get everything on the list.
