Bob Stock

Bobby Lee Stock, 87, husband of Shirley Louise Lisk Stock of Belton, Missouri, passed away April 20, 2023 at Jefferson Health Care in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Bob was born on August 1, 1935 in Richmond, Missouri to Archie Edward and Ruby Lee (Herod) Stock.

Bob Attended Richmond High School and KC Bible College. He worked as a produce department manager for Safeway for 41 years then for Price Chopper until he retired in June of 1997. He was actively involved with the Heart of America Square Dancers as well as with the Boy Scouts (Pack 281, Pack 32, Troop 32) most of his married life.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Stock of Belton; his daughters and sons Carol Stock Gouge and Steve Gouge of Belton, Larry Stock and Jamie Johnson Stock of Raymore; and one brother Jimmy Jules Stock and significant other Ruthie Rose of Galena, Missouri.

He is also survived by three grandsons and seven great grandchildren: grandson Ryan Alan Stock, wife Cynthia Langensand Stock of Raymore, Missouri, and their children Adilynn Elizabeth Stock and Eli Alan Stock; grandson Christopher Adam Gouge, wife Kaitlynn Fisher Gouge of Independence, Missouri and their children Cecilia Mae Gouge, Sullivan Fisher Gouge, Henry McCormack Gouge; and Grandson Aaron Michael Stock, wife Morgan Dryer Stock of Peculiar, Missouri and their children Mia Avery Stock and Mayson Ainsley Stock.

He will also be missed by his 6 surviving brothers and sisters-in-law as well as 32 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in passing by 3 siblings Donald Edward Stock, Frances Louise Bennett, and Phyllis Ann Galbraith.

A visitation for Bobby will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 12913 Grandview Road, Grandview, Missouri 64030 immediately followed by his funeral service at 1:30 PM at the funeral home and burial at 3:00 PM at Belton Cemetery, 710 South Scott, Belton, Missouri 64012.
