Well, the votes are officially counted, and the results are in…IT’S MAY!!! Looking out my window, the robins have returned, although I believe this must be the 4th generation since the days of Covid!!! May is a beautiful month and announces the return of spring. It is a time to celebrate when the earth comes to life again.

May is the month of graduations. Congratulations to all the 2024 high school and college graduates as they embark on new adventures in their lives. Good job!! May is also the month we celebrate and honor our mothers on Mother’s Day. My Mom’s photo is in the box at the top of this message. We were blessed to have her with us until 2019. Wishing all the Mom’s happiness on their special day.     
 

May and June have always been the start of the summer holiday weekends, campouts, and special dances. A few upcoming events are listed below:

Remember to support your local callers and clubs as they are the very fabric of our activity. Keep in mind it is never too early to begin recruiting for the next classes in your area.

Memorial Day is a very special holiday at the end of May. It is the weekend we honor those who have made the supreme sacrifice to preserve our freedoms all over the world. John Thune wrote: “I believe our flag is more than just cloth and ink. It is the history of our nation and is marked by those who died defending it.” As a veteran myself, please join me in saluting ALL our VETERANS!!!
