The summer travel schedule is rapidly coming to a close. It began a little later this year because of the hall closures due to the pandemic. Thankfully, dancing did begin in late May, and with only a few exceptions, has continued throughout the summer and fall. It has been good to see dancers on the floor again, renewing old friendships. Crowds have been smaller, but enthusiasm at being able to finally get back to dancing has been fun to witness. Thank you to everyone who came out to support those clubs and callers as we began to re-start the activity.
Fall has arrived, which has generated numerous questions about my winter program in Mesa. One thing for certain is that there WILL BE square dancing in the Valley Of The Sun this coming season! The only difference is that the schedule will begin a little later than usual. The start date has been moved to Monday, November 29th. Hopefully, this will give all of us time to settle in, clean out the cob webs, and dust off our dancing shoes. My parks have issued protocols which include, outside dancers will be welcome, vaccinated people do not need masks, non-vaccinated are requested to be masked, and I will be providing hand sanitizer for everyone to use. Keep monitoring the web site for updates regarding the start time. I promise to keep you posted.
